CLOVER-2000

This is a poor reception of the CLOVER-2000 waveform as from my log:
25/01/15 11350.0 GANOB1 "unid prob. GMRA Libya" 1427 "ALE/USB clg HQ3 then into CLOVER-2000"
CLOVER-2000 uses 8 250Hz wide tone-pulse subcarriers that are each offset from the base tone by 2ms, so that every 16ms all eight tone pulses transmit their cycle. CLOVER-2000 uses PSK or QAM modulation and occupies 2 kHz of bandwidth in contrast to CLOVER-II's 500Hz of bandwidth. The symbol rate for CLOVER-2000 is always 62.5bd for all modes, double the symbol rate of CLOVER-II.
CLOVER-2000 is discussed here in radioscanner.ru

unid ALE network, maybe GMRA

heard just this afternoon, 24 January, on 11135.0 KHz/USB:

11135.0 GANOB10 unid 1424 USB/MIL-STD 188-141A clg HQ3
11135.0 GANOB1 unid 1430 USB/MIL-STD 188-141A clg GANOB10 (rptd 1438)
11135.0 GANOB10 unid 1446 USB/MIL-STD 188-141A clg HQ4 + short (male) voice call
11135.0 GANOB8 unid 1455 USB/MIL-STD 188-141A clg HQ4
11135.0 GAN unid 1505 USB/MIL-STD 188-141A clg HQ4

HQ stands certainly for Head Quarter, but no idea about IDs and network. "Still no positive id. But as the GMRA net is still alive and uses some of the same freqs as GANOB/GHARB and as they are also using the HQ!, HQ2 etc calls, I still think that there is a link." Ary Boender says about my question posted to UDXF group.

GMRA is short for Great Man-made River Authority, a huge water project in Libya:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Man-Made_River

GMRR logo

The GMRA was very active on HF until the war and they haven’t heard since 2011. About two months ago Ary found unid station GHARB1 wkg HQ2 and soon after that several other stations. Most on the old GMRA freqs and just like in the old days many traffic to and from several HQ stations. That made me think that it was them. Bruno recently copied GHADAMES which wa one of the old GMRA stations, so the net seems to be alive again. As the newly found stations GHARBx and GANOBx are using a number of the same freqs and all work with HQx,
I am pretty sure that this is the same net.

Unid FSK 55Bd/500

heard on 13390.0 KHz/USB on 15 Januray, and monitored from 1320z to 1400z with reversals, this signal has a speed of 55 baud and 500 Hz shift. That frequency is commonly used by Russian/CIS Military with transmissions in Moroz-1A (and FSK/50/850) and FROST-1: the latter mode has been heard some years ago. Thre is also a Chinese ALE Net that operates in that frequency, but signal strenght and the mode (FSK) suggests a Russian/CIS source.
Any idea?

PACTOR-III: 6-tones and 14-tones examples by HEB Bern Radio

Other than the ritual Pactor/CW signal markers, you may heard HEB Berne Radio that operates as gateway in one of the Global Link Network channels sending emails or some other contents. These trasmissions are based on a Pactor-III system 14 and 6-tones

Bern Radio HEB (Hotel, Echo, Bravo) is a coastal radio station operated by Swisscom Broadcast on behalf of the Swiss government. The Bern Radio maritime radio station, as said, is part of the worldwide HF coastal radio station network Global Link Network (GLN).

More information about HEB can be found here
